NORTH SHORE REGATTA.
ELECTION OF OFFICIALS. There was a large attendance of North- j cot* and Birkenhead residents at the j public meeting to make arrangements for j the annual regatta, held in the North- ] cote borough chambers last evening. Mr.! j. T. Fearnley presided. The following officers were elected: —Patron, Lord Jellicoe: vice-patron. Mr. Ernest Davis; president, Mr. M. H. Walsh ; secretary, Mr. Geoffrey OTxsary : assistant-secre-tary, Mr. Noel J. Campbell; treasurer, Mr. A. Paterson.: committee: Messrs. A. V. Tver (chairman), A. E. Greenslade, A. Clare, A. Clark, Jas. Reid. K. Boyd, H. McLaughlin. J. T. Fearnlev,, S. L. Miller, N. Tavlor. K. R. Taylor. Barry! Reed. A. Stilwell, C. Mincher, A. W. | Millar, H. Tver, L. Davey, F. Newman, ] G. Edmonds, and W. Laurie. , Tlie date of the regatta was fixed for j February 24. { The sum. of two guineas was voted to j assist the. Yacht and Motor-boat Association in defraying the expenses in con- > nection with this season's Sanders Cup ( competition. j It was agreed to raise the prizes to the' value of £5. £2 and £1 for first, second, and third respectivelv. for boats 1 over 20ft., and £4, £2 and £1 for boats! under 20ft., the entrance money to ire; 5 per cent, of the first prize money.
