■:":■■":•MRS. E. i: MILLER. ;.:. Mrs. Eliza Jane Miller, an old Auckland settler, died at Pukekohe recently at the age of 78 years., She was born in Belfast, 'Ireland, and arrived at Auckland in ' the ship Ganges on February 14', 1855. After a. short residence at Pokano Mr.-and Mrs. Miller settled at Pukekohe. They had been looking ward to the celebration of the diamond jubilee anniversary of their wedding in May next. Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband, four sons, six daughters, fifty-three grandchildren and 20 greatgrandchildren. ..The interment took place in the Pukekohe Cemetery. i
MR, JR. E. PARTRIDGE.
Mr. Richard Edwin Partridge, an old settler, who arrived in New Zealand fifty years ago, and had resided in Auckland for 23 years, died- in the Auckland Hospital on Saturday at the age of; 70. Mr. Partridge, who : had been a widower for over twenty years, leaves six sons and three daughters. Four sons were on service during the late war and one of them also boro arms in the South African war.
