PAST YEAR IN WELLINGTON. • The financial depression which prevailed last year in the Wellington Province was reflected, in the number .>! bankruptcies which occurred. The returns show that no fewer than 31 persons filed their petitions in the Wellington district, as against 20 m 1920. The following businesses and trades were affected in last year's records :— Grocers' ■ (3), .'farmers (2), labourers (2), commission agents (2), furniture dealers (2)/"restaurant keepers (2), garage proprietors (2), storekeeper, motor" trimmer, coachpainter, builder, shepherd,'"restari-ant-keeper and auctioneer, draper, motor mechanic, carrier, typewriter mechanic, carpenters, picture proprietors, auctioneer, painters and paperhangei's, . motor-tyre agent, and confectioner. ■""■.
