NEW SCALE IN VICTORIA. A new scale of, charges has been agreed to by the • Victorian Institute of -Architects* For many years past the recognised scale of charges for architects has, on ordinary building work, been 5 per cent, to the client on the cost of . the work, and a charge of 1 per cent, on the cost of the works for copies of plans ; and specifications furnished to the builder. Under the new scale of charges, 6 per cent, on the cost of the, work, will be charged to Ihe client, hut no charge will ; be made to the builder for tho.,> supplying of additional plans and specifications. Special charges are -to be made for alterations, or other special work.
