CHRISTMAS TOURNAMENT. RESULTS OF FIRST DAY'S PLAY. The Auckland Centre of the Dominion of Ne-w Zealand Bowling Association commenced its annual Christmas tournament, yesterday. Tho weather was dull and threatening throughout the day, and several liyht showers fell. The greens wcro in fairly good condition, although a triflo slow. There were seven sections, and some good performances were registered in the first round. Crameß wero played on Auckland, Carlton, Dominion Road, Mount Eden, Epsom. Ponsonby, and Onemmga greens.
