WELLINGTON. Thursday.
The dairy division of the Department of Agriculture has received advice that shipments of butter from Argentina during November amounted to 2750 tons, making a total of 5775 tons for the period AugustNovember, inclusive. It is suggested that the published report that 600,000 boxes, or 15,000 tons, of Argentina butter were on the water en route to the United Kingdom is incorrect.
The figures received from Victoria indicate that for the five months ending November 30, exports of butter amounted to 10,716 tons, BvS compared with 8022 tons for the corresponding period of the preceding season, giving an increase of 20 per cent.
