KIDNEYS IN LAMB.

N.Z. MEAT BOARD'S ORDER.

LONDON IMPORTERS' PROTEST.

Australian and N.Z. Cabl* Association. (Reed. 4.5 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 19.

The Incorporated Society of Meat Importers has cabled to New Zealand strongly protesting on behalf of practically the whole trade, especially c.i.f. buyers, against the New Zealand Meat Board's arbitrary decision that kidneys must be left in lambs. If the decision is adhered to, it will undoubtedly lead to serious trouble, and interfere with sales. C.i.f. buyers are already making two prices for lambs, with or without kidneys. J'rimo South Island lambs will suffer particularly. Owing to their carrying plentiful internal fat, there is distinct danger of tainted hindquarters. The society asks. Will the Meat Board make good proved losses due to these causps?
