He reported the matter to Captain Watson, of the Mararoa, who obtained a boat, and, with the assistance of another man, brought the body to the, shore.- Artificial respiration was kept up for some time, but without,avail. The deceased, an elderly man, was identified as George Taylor, who had resided at 86, Constable Street. He had been out tof work for some time. ~ v At the inquest, Taylor's wife said W suffered from asthma. He had been oU* of. work for six months and became de- . spondent.
