VISIT OF AMERICAN TEAM. [BT TELEGRAPH.—PBS33 ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH. Wednesday. In connection with the visit of American athletes (for which Canterbury has guaranteed £1001. the Canterbury Centre resolved to send the following telegram to the New Zealand Council:— "Canterbury . Centre regr*4U 'it cannot accept the visit of the American athletes on January 13. It 10 .-willing to accept the visit at an appreciably later date suitable to the centre, provided that the guarantee required is reduced by £50, and that the Bnancial arrangementf otherwise are suitable. The centre desire! to know if euarantees. and profits are to b< pooled." The executive was empowered t( act on receipt of a reply-
