The holder of a taxi-driver's license attended tho last meeting of the Invcr-

cargill Borough Council to show causio why his license should not bo cancelled

The polico reported that the man had been convicted of driving a car on the night of October 31 in a manner dangerous to the public. A discussion ensued, in which it was pointed out that in the public interests taxi-drivers should be closely supervised, and also that if the. ' council ignored polico reports they would bo taking grave responsibility upon them-' selves. Tho council decided to cancel tho man's license immediately.
