SEAMEN AT LOGGERHEADS.
UNIONISTS V. VOLUNTEERS.
SCENES AT GREYMOUTH. [«X TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.]
GREYMOUTH. Tuesday.
The presence of a record number of vessels, ostensibly a good indication of prosperity, seems rather a. mixed blessing to Greymouth. Small feuds are daily occurring between the union and nonunionist cr.&ws, particularly between the volunteers on the Kamo and the unionists on the Ings,. During the -week-end at least two fights took place, in which knives held play. The result of one argument was that a man wt.s injured, and a prosecution for assault was to have followed, but other counsels prevailed. The skirmishes still continue, however.
