PRESIDENT'S PREMONITION.
CONGRATULATION'S DECLINED Times. WARSAW. Dec. 17. M. Narotowicsz, President of Poland, who was assassinated at an art exhibition on .Saturday, expired in a few minutes. The assassin offered no resi»tance: he simply remarked that ho wished to rid Poland of a man he considered unworthy of the Republic. M. Narotowicsz was a well-known partisan of the Pan-Poland National Democratic group. He recently suffered injuries to his head in a tramway accident. A new President will be elected on Wednesday.
The Times correspondent at Warsaw states that M. Narotowicsz was just receiving the congratulations of Lady Max Mailer, wife of the British Minister, on attaining the Presidency. He replied: "You should rather condole with me." The shots rang out, and ho fell mortally wounded at her feet. He had been President only five dayß.
