A TRI-WEEKLY SERVICE.
HALF A MILE BY 'BUS.
The through passenger service on the North Auckland railway, between Whangaroi and Auckland, will commence on Thursday, when a train will leave Whangarei for Mareretu at 8.5 a.m. Passengers will be transported across a gap of half a mile between the railheads at Mareretu by bus, a.nd will arrive at Huarau in time to catch the express, which leaves that station at 11.40 a.m., and arrives in "Auckland at 4.40 p.m. The service from Auckland to Whangarei will be inaugurated on Friday, when a train will leave Huarau on the arrival of the express at the latter station from Auckland. The service will be run from Huarau northward on Monday, Wednes day and Friday, and from Whangarei southward on the alternate days.
