JUDGING COMPETITIONS.
JERSEY BREEDERS 7 CLUB. [BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] CAMBRIDGE, Monday. The Cambridge Jersey Breeders' dub held 'its first annual picnic on Saturday, when judging competitions were held on the show grounds. The weather was unfavourable, although there _ was a good attendance of adults and juniors. Tho function was held for the purpose of gtimjulating interest of the younger people, especially in Jersey breeding. The competitions resulted:— Primary Schools.—J. and A. Care (equal), 1; L. Carl and A. R. Gascoigne (equal), 3. Youths under 20.—Duncan Wallace, 1; E Warrington, 2; G. Stevenson u 3. Ladies' Judging.—Miss M. Chynoweth, 1; Miss H. Shynoweth, 2; Mrs. Goodwin, 3. Mr. Alfred Missen gave an instructive lecture and demonstration on Jerseys and Jersey breeding. The function will be made an annual one.
