ATHLETIC AND CYCLE SPOETS.'. The annual meeting, of the Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club was held last evening. Mr. William Morjon presiding over a good attendance. The activities of this old club were curtailed during the past season owing to many of its most enthusiastic members beirifr engaged on the centre. The prospects of the club for the coming season are brighter than at any period of the past. A number of'old supporters have joined up, with several young enthusiasts, to assist to revive its old-time glories. Numerous trophies have already been offered fdr competition, while the challenge trophies including the much-rjmed Victor Ludorum' Kohn points, and Sportsman Cup, will hi contested early in the New Year. A series of weekly evening sports meetings will'be inaugurated in the second week of January which should be the means of arousine more than ordinary interest in amateur athletics.
