WEEK OF WARM WEATHER.

NEARLY HALF-INCH OF RAIN.

SEVERAL DULL DAYS.

The warm summer weather of last wedc was tempered by very little rain, the total fall amounting only to 48 points, of which 10 points fell on Friday, and 33 points on Saturday. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, no rain at all fell, and on Monday only on a point was registered. The total for the month up to 9 a.m. yesterday was 1.50 in.

The maximum daily period of bright sunshine, 11 hours 5 minutes, was recorded on Wednesday. On two days, Sunday, December 10, and Friday, there was an entire absence of bright sunshine, and the period on Saturday was only I hour 20 minutes. The maximum temperature on the grass ranged from (i2 degrees on Tuesday morning, to 57 dsgrees on Saturday and yesterday. The highest velocity of wind during the week occumd during the 24 hours ended at 9 a-ra. on Tuesday, when 151 miles was registered.

SHOWERS 05T SATURDAY. A DULL WEEK-END. The weather at Auckland on Saturday was very wet, especially in the morning, when heavy rain fell almost continuously in the city and suburb?. It cleared oft toward mid-day, but occasional shower# fell in the afternoon. Between two and three o'clock light rain fell in the city, but it was very heavy in seme parts ot the suburbs. At Mangero very heavy rain fell for about half an hour, and flooded the Middleanore golf links for the time.' Shortly after five o'clock a heavy shower occurred in the city, and continued for about 20 'minutes, when the light wind from the north-west changed to the Houthwest, and the rain ceased. Although the sky was dull and threatening yesterday the weather remained fine up to a lato hour. According to the low reading of the barometer, the weather is still unsettled. It had fallen to 29.65 in. by 4 p.m. on Saturday, and showed no indications of at a lato hour yesterday.
