AUCKLAND " AT HOME."

The Auckland Club "At Home", was celebrated on Saturday, when the president. Mr. Coldicutt, and Mis 3 Dorothy Coldicutt were ' 4 at home " to the members and friends. Mr. Coldicutt and his daughter welcomed their guests, who were afterwards entertained to afternoon tea. Mr .Coldicutt, in a short speech, explained the clubs policy was to hold the function after all .the other clubs had had their official opening. He called on Mr. Culpan. one of the life members, and the olaest playing member of the club to present Mr. James Carlaw with a badge 'of life membership. In making the presentation. Mr. Culpan. said Mr. Carlaw was the father of sport in Auckland. Mr. Carlaw, in returning thanks, mentioned that he had been a. memDer of the club for 35 years.
