SUMMER BEAUTY HINTS.
When sunburn is painful, a little olive oil rubbed into the skin is soothing. If it is the neck which is unduly scorched, after rubbing with olive oil, cover over with some cotton wool at night. Glycerine and rosewater mixed in proportions of one part glycerine to two parts of rose water form an excellent summer ekin emolient.
Sliced cucumber and cumber peel rubbed well into the skin are effective in helping to remove both sunburn and freckles.
It is whe to wash the hair more often in summer then in winter, especially v/hen one is a town dweller, as an accumulation of dust causes it to look dull. Sunshine is a tonic for the hair ; dry your hair in the sun after washing it, when you can. The hands require special care in summer, especially in the country or at the seaside, where gloves are not much worn. Don't forget that colours which may become you in winter are not always good summer colours, and choose your dress accordingly if you want to make the best of your looks.
