WELLINGTON BURGLARY.

" ■» POLICE MAKE AN ARREST.

A considerable time ago the house of Mr. T. E. Corkill, Dewsbury Terrace, Oriental Bay, Wellington, was broken into, and the thief took away with him £4 in money, a silver watch, a match-box, and a fountain pen. -No trace could be found of the missing articles in spite of the closest investigation. While Mr. Corkill and the other members of his family were absent from their home between 7 and 11 o'clock on Saturday night a similar intrusion occurred, and on this occasion the goods taken comprised £14 in money, a lady's wristlet watch, a fountain pen, and several other articles. It was evident that the thief entered the house by an upstairs window. Subsequently a young man was arrested by the police in connection with the matter.
