STATEMENT IN COMMONS.

Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 10.5 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 5.

Mr. Neville Chamberlain, PostmasterGeneral, replying to Mr. P. Harris in the House of Commons, said that besides the fortnightly mail via Suez, tho Post Office used the Commonwealth Line and sailings from Vancouver and San Francisco for despatching mails to New Zealand. Cargo by fast ships via Panama might reach New Zealand before documents if the latter wero posted after the shipment of goods.
