Mr. K. Pi«eve-Smith, of Aria, King Country, is at the Grand Hotel.
Mr. T. B. Lees, of Wellington, left by the Makura yesterday for Vancouver.
Sir Aurelian Ridsdale and Lady Ridsdale returned from Waitomo yesterday and are at tho Grand Hotel.
Mr. Justice Hcsking has not yet resumed his seat en the Supreme' Court Bench m Wellington owing to continued indisposition.
Colonel T. 11. Hawkins, C.M.G., assistant general manager of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board, who is notion his way to- Australia, wiJl visit New Zealand early next year.
Drs. W. H. Pettit and H. Dundas Mackenzie, of Auckland, and W. H. Simpson, of Christchurch, left by the Makura yesterday ( for San Francisco, where they will take a special bourse of study. Dr. Mackenzie will return in February, and Drs. Pettit and Simpson in March.
