MB. FARREIL'S CAMPAIGN.
QUIET FINAL MEETING.
EXODUS OF LABOUR SECTION.
Tiie campaign in' Auckland West closed in rather a quiet fashion lest evening, when the Reform candidate, Mr. John Farrell, addressed a crowded meet ing in the Britannia Theatre. Mr. J. A. C. Allum presided. During <h e earlier part of the meeting Labour interjectors made their presence heard, but not to any effect. Suddenly a considerable exodus occurred. "An organised withdrawal,'' remarked the candidate. ''On tho last night of the campaign it is somewhat obvious. That it; how they will bo going homo to-morrow night, no doubt." (Loud cheers.) "You will bo member for the district this films to-morrow night," called a voice in the audience.
Mr. Farrell again emphasised the fact that no Labour candidate- could didassociate himself from the extreme ideas of his party, nor escape its relentless irresponsible rule. The leaders held tho principles of the international socialists and their banner was the Red flag. At the closo of the meeting a vote of thanks and confidence was carried, and resounding cheers were given for Mr. Farrell.

HAMILTON, Wednesday.
Mr. J. A. Young addressed a very good meeting at Melville last night. Sir. E. F. Peacocke presided and introduced Mr. Vowjg as an " old political horse who always got right, into the collar." Mr. Voting was given a splendid hearing throughout his address. Mr. M. Schofiold moved a hearty vote of thanks to Mr. Young and confidence in him to represent the electorate in Parliament. _ Mr. J. A. Maisey, in seconding, said ho had known Mr. Young for many years, and never know him to refuse to assist anyone where he could or to go back on Ins word. He was the right and the safo man to elect to the House. The motion was carried unanimously.
