GOVERNOR'S APPEAL.
NOT FROM QUEENSLAND. A. aud N.Z. BRISBANE, Dec. 5.
The Premier of Queensland, Mr. K G. Theodore, states that Queensland is not the Slate referred to by Earl Haig respecting the request of £1000 from the Governor of a Dominion to aid ex-serviee men. It was gross misrepresentation to say that ex-service men were starving. Some returned soldiers had heen unemployed,, but the Commonwealth and State j Governments had spent £75,000 in providing employment.
