Ladies and Gentlemen.. — As President of the Auckland Sunday-School Union, which embraces over 30.000 boys and girls, I plead wren every Elector to realise the responsibility attaching to each ana every vote on the Liquor Issue. Under the heading ELECTORS, the Liquor Traffic says :- "IF (note the big 'if') you are in favour of the present system of the conduct, of the Licensed Trade, then record your vote in favour of National Continuance. ,; IF you disagree with the present system, but are in favour "of a different method of control of the sale and reasonable use of alcoholic liquors in the Dominion for the benefits oi the Public, then record your vote in favour of State Purchase and Control." Now I claim that no decent, intelligent, thinking voter can be in favour of the present system and conduct of the Liquor Traffic. Its past record and results prove it to be lawless ana hearth; ss. I also claim that no different method of control, except as provided by National Prohibition, can bo " for the benefit of the Alcoholic liquor will intoxicate and degrade men and women, will bring distress and misery into the home, will grievously hurt and harm little children, even if sold under tho most favourable conditions. Friends of mine recently had their little boy run down and very seriously, and probably permanently, injured by a party of very drunk men in a motor. The mother writes: ' What a blessing it would be if Prohibition were carried. It would help toward making the roads safer for other little children." In the Trail of the Liquor Traffic we have countless tragedies victims. Unless you vote for National Prohibition you must accept yoftr share of the responsibility. National Prohibition will bring true prosperity, less taxation, more employment. It will help every good thing; it will work against everything evil. When you are in tho Polling Booth with the pencil in your hand, surely you will vote for the safety and happiness of little children.
