SUCCESS OF PEOPLE'S DAY.

People's, day at the Waikato show was one of the most successful in the annals of the association. The weather was fine and' the special trains were well patronised, the result s being a cecord attendance.
Tho grand parade was exceptionally well arranged, and visitors were able to view to the best advantage the magnificent display of prize owners. The ring events provided plenty of interest, and so good was tho quality of the Jumping that no riders were unseated- The principal event, tho Dominion jump, lor which a first prize of £150 was given, wjis won by Mr. T. Clarkin, iun., on Wowser. Mr. Wynn Brown's Exchange won the chamTpTbn hunter class, which carried with it the Soldiers' Memorial Cup, valued at £21, and presented by Mr. T. W. Anderson. As this was the second year in succession that Exchange won the cup, it becomes Mr. Brown's property. The Waikato Regimental Band, under Lieutenant A. Salter, rendered an appropriate programme of music, which greatly added to the success of Che show.
