ROLL OF HONOUR UNVEILED.
IMPRESSIVE CEREMONY. .
The roll of honour of the Bayfield School,, Ponsonby. was unveiled yesterday in the presence of a large gathering of past and present pupils of the Bchool and their friends. The chairman was Mr. W. J. Campbell, of the Ponsonby Schools Committee. The proceedings opened with the singing of the National Anthem, an address by Mr. Campbell following. The hymn. "Abide With Me," and Kipling's "Recessional" were Bung, and the headmaster of the school, Mr. D. Mclnneo, addressed those present. The unveiling ceremony was performed by the Rev. Fraser Barton, returned soldier, who delivered an inspiring address. Later there was a march past the roll of honour by the pupils of the school, each saluting the board. The roll, which was draped with a Union Jack for the occasion, bears 204 names, including those of 33 soldiers who have died. The school was specially decorated, and all the trophieß that it has won were on view.
