TO-DAY'S FORECAST. , GOVERNMENT REPORT. The Government meteorologist reported last night as follows :—lndications are for moderate to strong south-west to west winds; squally and at times changeable weather generally, with showers in many parts of tho Dominion. Barometer rising temporarily, MR. 0. L. WRAGGE'S FORECAST. Tho following weather forecast was supplied to us by Mr. Clement L. Wragge at 5 p.m. yesterday :—The rear side of the Antarctic disturbance, Vophoi, will still operate, especially south from laranaki and Napier. Further sleet and heavy rain, with squalls, may be expected, with more snow over highland country and hail and electric disturbance. Winds from between north-west, west and south-west, later veering southerly; particularly bleak and rough over tho South Island, but better in the North. Matters should improve within . a few days with the advance of a new high pressure system. Rough seas on West Coast.
