MELBOURNE PROPOSAL. [from otnt own correspondent.] SYDNEY. Nov. V It is proposed by the Melbourne Police Department to institute modern methods to deal with the modern criminal. The lead of England and America is being followed, and experiment* are being made in wireless, to bo used in conjunction with the work of the motor patrol The scheme is'still in the experimental stage, but it is hoped that the police cars will carry a wireless installation, and will be enabled to keep in touch with headquarters continuously. Another experiment that will probably ahe tried is the more ancient practice of using trajced doga for tracking
