The election of five trustees for the Judfca drainage district will be held this month.
Crops of early potatoes are turning out well in this district. So far the blight has not made its appearance, and many of tho crops are giving excellent yields. The Oddfellows' Lodge, at its meeting, last night, decided to hold a picnic at Omokoroa on New Year's Day, and appointed a committee to make arrangements.
