HOUSEHOLD SCHOOLS.

ATTITUDE OF DEPARTMENT. A. memorandum from the department was received by the Education Board yesterday stating that it had been disctivered that some pupils attending a household school had been enroled in correspondence classes and that the department could not approve of the double expenditure on education of these children. Tt> prevent a recurrence the uopartment asked . for a list of housohold schools in each district, giving the name of each school, the name of the people in whose house the school was held, and the name of the teacher. , The secretary was instructed to forward the information.
