WINDFALL FOR SOURMIiVSLLE ALTRUISTIC MOTIVES. United Service. LONDON. Oct. 30. Mrs. Boeke., formerly Miss Beatrice Cadbury, daughter of Mr. George Cadbury, and her husband, have decided to surrender their joint holding of 9329 preference and 27,988 ordinary shares in the British Cocoa and Chocolate Company, in order that the Bourneville Workers' Councils may,. from . the- proceeds, promote home and international activities for the amelioration of conditions and the education of workers. The donors base their action upon the expressed belief that tho privato holding of capital is responsible fcfr the majority of social and economic troubles in the world, on which ground! they feel it their duty to make a persona) sacrifice.
