LIGHT RAILWAY SCHEME.
WAIKATO-WEST COAST. [BY TKLEOBAPB.—OWN COBRESFONDENT.J HAMILTON, Friday. Official notice has now been received that the Government has decided to constitute the Waikato-West Coast railway district affecting the area between Frankton and Raglan and Kawhia. The Government stipulates ■ that this is not to be taken to commit it to approving the construction of this line. Advice to this effect was received by the Provisional Board to-day, and the chairman, Mr. G. Parr, said it wag a matte? for congratulation. The public would be gratified by the Government's care to ensure that any scheme shall bet well founded before committing the distiict to any substantial expenditure.
