FIRST GERMAN STEAMER.
ARRIVAL IN AUSTRALIA. [I3OM. OUR OWN" COBEESrOKDEST.] W SYDNEY. Oct. 12. Ths first German steamer to arrive- in Australia since the war has just berthed in Sydney. She is the German-Australia line cargo steamer Hanau, and her arrival marks the resumption of the Oerman mercantile marine's activities an Australian trade. The vessel s cargo MiTK mainlv of toy? and pianos. Many of her crew have been in Australia previoasiy. and some of them were interned hC Tn conjunction with, the Norddeutscher ti" i „ I1( i Holt's Blue Funnel lines, the Company will conduct , mo athlv service from.
