GOVERNMENT SCHEME. ABANDONMENT ANNOUNCED FARMERS' POOR RESPONSE [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRES3 ASSOCUTHW.] WELLINGTON. Tu Mcwy . The Minister for Agriculture, Hon. V 7 Nosworthy, announced to-night that owing to the small response by farmers to 1 avail themselves of the Government scheme for the handling of under-grafo wheat, tho. Government had decided to abandon the scheme entirely and to allow free export. In order to comply with the provision* of the wheat trade regulations it vronld be necessary for exporters to make formal application for export permits, but these would be issued for any qmu,'. tity the exporters may desire.
