TO-DAY'S FORECAST. GOVERNMENT REPORT. -The Government meteorologist reported last night a.s follows:—lndications are for strong but decreasing south to southwest winds, changeable weather generally, with scattered showers. The barometer has a rising tendency. MR. C. L. WRAGGE'S FORECAST. The following weather forecast was supplied to us by Mr. Clement L. Wragge at 7 p.m. yesterday.—The Antarctic depression Taanach has come somewhat in advance of the calculated time, and is now_ affccling more or less all the Dominion. Therefore unsettled and rainy weather with ini ervals of clearing sky is expected generally, and conditions will be the more unsettled south from the Auckland Province. Winds from between north-north-west and west, later veering toward south-south-west. Sea roughish on west coast. It is probable that this disturbance has two centres of energy. RAINFALL RECORD.
