FIXTURES FOR THE SEASON.
SANDERS CUP RACE JANUARY 20. Arrangements for the official opening 0 f the season in Aucislanu, which takes placo on baturday, iNovetuoer 11, made by the Auckland. Yacht and iloior Boat Aecociation last, evening. The function will take the iorm of a. combined cruistns. race tor the larger boats to Matiatia-, W aiheke, and harbour races for open boats, kach club will declare its own handicape, and provide its own prizes. lh« boata taking part in the cruising race will start off the King s Wharf and proceed round a mark off Ivorthcoto, thence direct to Matiatia. The keel boats will etart at 2.80 p.m., the centreboard at 2.40 p.m., tha launches at 260 p.m. The email boat cisussM will start from 3 to 3.30 p.m. and will race over harbour course®. Memrs. A. Deacon and P. Boonstra will act aa starters for all events, and Mr. E. J. Kelly as judge and timekeeper for tbe cruising race. The time# for the harbour events will be taken by Mr W. A. Wilkinson, who will aleo act aj judere. Tlie following dates were allotted to the various yacht and launch clubs affiliated to the association for the romainder of their rcing season:— . . . January 13 —Akarana Ynclit Club, tic* round Waiheke: N.Z.P.B.A. January 20—Victoria Cruising Club, race to Homo Bay and harbour races for small boats; Ponsonby Cruising Club, cruising race. January 27— Royal N.Z. Yacht Squadron and N.Z.P.8.A., harbour races. Jannory 30—First race for the Sandtta Memorial Cup. February 3—Royal N.Z. Yacht Scnadron, harbour races. February 10—Akarana Yacht Club. February 17—Takamnia Boating Club ami N.Z.P.8.A., harbour Taces. February 91—Northcofe Regatta. March 3—PonsonW Cruising Club, annual regatta, and Royal N.Z.
