It is now announced by Mr. T. M. Wilford, Leader of the Liberal-Labour Party, that Mr. F. S. Morton, of Auckland, has been accepted as the party's candidate for the Eden seat, which he will contest against the Hon. C. J. Parr.
AUCKLAND EAST CONTEST.
MR. J. A. LEE'S CANDIDATURE. A meeting of friends and supporters of Mr. J. A. Lee, the Labour candidate for Auckland East, will be held at the committee room, Scots Hall, this evening, at eight o'clock. .

HAMILTON, Tuesday. The election campaign was opened in Hamilton last night when a large audience was addressed by Mr. A. S. Richards, the Labour candidate for the Hamilton seat. The Mayor, Mr. J. R. Fow, presided. After the candidate had explained tho planks of the party's platform ne was accorded a vote of thanks.
