"a The Government Meteorologist reported last night as follows Present indications are for increasing northerly to westerly winds, changeable and squally weather generally, with rain' soon in West Coast, and Southern districts. The barometer is unsteady, with a falling tendency.

Tha following weather forecast was supplied to us by ill*. Clement L. Wracgß at 8.30 p.m. yesterday:—Generally tine weather, except intermittent coastal showers, is expected to prevail over the North Island, and the Northern half of the South Island, under fairly high pressure. In the far South, Antarctic lowpressure waves are still in evidence Winds from between west-north-west and south-west, backing northerly again later in response to the advent of another depression named Taanach, which is due within a few days. Seas moderate.
