The guarantee fund of the British Empire Exhibit : on amounts to £1,166,000, but the promoters hope that it will be doubled in order that their ha:nds may be strengthened in the development of Empire trade, espec'aJly as all the profits will be divided among the Governments of Britain and the Dominions and Colonies for public purposes in proportion to the area occupied at the exhibition. The Dominions and Colonies have already booked 700,000 square feet.
