The voyage just ended, as well as the previous one, was made in 35 day*, at an average speed of 13.23 knots. As the mail fiom New Zealand to Loudens via San Francisco generally takes 34 days in transit, the Mahia's time is very creditable. On her present voyage aba brought 829 bags, of letter and parcel mail direct from England.
