The Auckland Presbytery met last evening. The moderator, the Rev. C J. Tocker, presided over a good attendance. A request was received from the congregation at Titoke, near Whangarei, for a loan of £200 for the building of a church. It was stated that labour and material could probably be obtained free of charge. The matter was referred to the Property and Finance Committee with power to act. Protests were received from members at Pukekoho East and Bombay against their being cut off from the Pukekohe charge. It was resolved to reappoint the commission which had previously dealt with tho matter to visit the districts concerned, with power to act. Mr. R. R. Bell, of the Whangarei church, forwarded a resolution from that church requesting permission to lease an area ot church property tronting on bund Street to the Borough Council. A petitiotr was received from members of the charches at Taneatua, Whakatane, and Opotiki asking that a separate Presbytery bo created for tho Bay of Plenty district. It was decided to send the petition to tho General Assembly with a recommendation that it be granted.
