BERESFORD ST. CHURCH.
SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY. > Special services -were held yesterday at' the Reresford Street Congregational Church to commemorate the 70th anru> versary of the Sunday school. The Rev. H. J. Ralph, oi' Green Lane, was the preacher in the morning, the Rev. E. H.. Taylor, of Western Springs, in the afternoon, while the Rev. F. Warner, (chairman of the Congregational Union of Zealand, preached at the evening service; Special music was rendered, including solos by Messrs. H. Kayes and A. HY Ripley, and concerted numbers by pupil? of the Sunday school, assisted by Samoan and Rarotongan students. A't a, recent meeting of the teachers and officers of the Sunday school a resolution recording theiif appreciation of the guidance and help of the Rev. F. Warner, who has resigned the ministry of the church, was passed unanimously. It was also stated that the Sunday school had received a net increase of 40 scholars during the year.
