The highest figure obtained by us in this section was 103gns. for the three-year-old bull. Majesty's Golden Laddie, sold on account of Mr. R. R. Dean, Te Kuiti, and purchased by Mr. W. T. Lnxton. Eureka. Seven yearling bulls, offered on account of Messrs. William Dunn and Sons, Waihou, averaged 50gns., tho top price of Klgns. being procurod for lot 66. Premier Drum-Major. Other good figures realised j were as follows:—Lot 193, Premier Bill, ■ 69gns.; Jot 101, Majestic: Senior, 57gnn. ; lot 220. Golden Vena, 63gns.: lot 222. Tring Park, 52!gns.; lot 16, Enid's Rex, 55gns.; lot 3. Jersey Brae's Mountain Fox. 63gns.; lot 85, Viola's Sensation, 55gns.; lot 93. Orange Dale's D;irkie. 50gns.; lot 99. In the other lots the values ranged between 25gns. and 40gns.. few descending below that level. The females in this section were also well compoted for. The highest figures realised were for lot 229, Majesty's Orange Fox, 50gns.; lot 230, Sunhill's Golden Fox. 35gns.; Jot 239. Sunhill's Violet, 40gns. Tho entry of Ayrshires was extremely small, consisting ot only 14 lots. Tho demand was limited. The highest prices in tins section were obtaVied by Mr. A. H. Clements for lot 219, Royal Spot of Somerset. lGgns.. and Mr, J. C. Wallace for lot 255, Laddie of Auchens, 15gns. In tho Shorthorn section a number of very fine animals were penned, and although this breed is passing through rather an adverse period just now, it was proved, nevertheless, that a number of faithful adherents accorded a very fair reception to the various lot<« submitted. The highest price realised was secured by Hon. J. Fisher for lot 294, Pukerimu Limelight, 27gns.. sold to Messrs. Cumpstono Bros., a draft of eight from this rendor averaging £20. Mr. T. C. B.ackett also secured good figures in many instances, lot 310, Ryedale Baron Bth, making 24gns., and lot 311. Baron of Ryedale, 25gns. Mr. Robert Fisher secured 20Jgns. for lot 315. Carsofern Rufus, and Mr. H. D. Campbell disposed of lot 273. Greenfield Temperence, at 20gns., and lot 326, Greenfield Royalty, at the same figure. In the Holstein section a lot of very fine animals wero submitted, but considering the advancing popularity of this breed the figures realised were somewhat disappointing Tho highest price in this class was obtained by Messrs. C. R. Duncan and Sons. Whangamarino, 60gns. for lot 35 1, KlondyJro Buttercup. Tho same, vendors . roahsed 32gus. for lot 358, Prmce Royal Van Bmndee Messrs. Whcwell Bros, secured -lOgns. for lot 889, Uuke of Bracken, and 25gns. for lot 318. King Cadillac of Canada. Mr S Clements obtained 23gns. for lot 370. Olen Lynn Pontia Pledge. Many other lots were disposed of at about 20gns \t our Claudelnmls fat slock sale on Thursday wo had a good entry 0:1 sheep and a full yarding of cattle, every ren beinr; required. For fat sheep and beef values were slightly better. Most of the store cattle changed hands, but for dairy stock there was r.ot a brisk demand. A. smaller entry of pics than usual sold readily. We quote :---Small fat wethers in wool 27s 7d. good fat shorn wethers 25s t0.275: kiliable hoggets 18s 3d to 19s 6d; well done lightweight steers £5 16s to £7 12s; fat cows and Jicifcrs £3 10s to £5 7s 6d, forward cows £»], to £2 17s Gd, store cows £1 to £1 18s; 2-year steers £2 to £25»; 15-months to 2year empty heifers, £2 7s Gd io £3 7s. and £5 for Jersey and Jersey-cross; dairy heifers, best £8 to £11 ss. others £5 10s to £7 10; best sound cows £7 to £10, good £5 to £6 10s. others from £2 to £4 10s; bacon pigs £2 8s to £2 10s. light porkers 22s Gd; weaners. 12s.
