NEW CONVERSION LOAN.
APPLICATIONS FOR A THIRD.
A and N.Z. LONDON. Oct. 5. Applications totalling £1,050,000 were received for the Victorian conversion loan, under which holders of £3,000,000 of 4 per cent, stock are offered an equal amount of 5 per cent, stock repayable in 1935-45. The London and Westminster Hank provides funds at 34 per cent, to pay holders of the unconverted balance.
