THERMOMETER SWALLOWED

TEMPERATURE 107 DEGREES. A. and N.Z. LONDON. Oct. 1. The Lancet states that a girl of 21 in Vienna swallowed a clinical thermometer. After sho had been examined by moans of the X-ray, an operation resulted in the removal of the thermometer unharmed. It registered 107 degrees Fahrenheit. The Lancet adds that this is a record temperature.

It was reported recently that a patient in England, sunering from influenza complications, showed a temperature of 114 degrees.
