Sir,—ln those times when every little helps, and when the wirigkt of tbe last straw breaks the camel's hack, it is aggravating to be pestered "with notifications of preminms for mortgagees' indemnity insurant*. Claims of this kind are made not only on behalf of first mortgagees, but of second mortgagees and even sub-mortgagees. A competent authority assures me that only one ease to his knowledge has been availed of under the Act since it was passed. If the contingency is so remote, why not abolish the impost or vote a small sum out of the Consolidated revenue to meet a poffiible chim? LfTERKSTZD.
