DINNER TO FOOTBALLERS.
) TEAM FROM WELLINGTON. The members of the Auckland and Wellington representative teams were entertained at dinner by the Auckland ; Rugby Union at. the Royal Hotel on : Saturday evening. Mr. M. J. Sheahan, 1 past president of the Auckland Rugby Union, presided, and welcomed the , visJtors. The toast of the Wellington Rugby Union .and Wellington team was proposed by Mr. Sheahan and responded to by Mr. Prehdeville, Wellington Rugby Union, and Mr. F. Laws, manager of the Wellington . team; the toast of the Auckland Rugby Union and Auckland team was responded to by Mr. H. Frost, chairman of the' Management Committee, and Mr. K. If worsen, captain of. the Auckland team. " The Referee'- was proposed by Mr, Preadaville.
