PENALTY FOR THE OFFENCE. CANCELLING OF CEEHFICATE. The penalty for the driving of a motor vehicle in a manner dangerous to the public does not end with the infliction of a fine by a magistrate. The City Council last evening adopted the recommendation of the Finance and Legal Committee that the certificate cf a person convicted of dangerous driving be cancelled. Ic was stated, that this was the fourth occasion on which the committee had found it necessary to recommend the cancellation of a certificate of competency to drive a private motor-vehicle.
