ENGINEERING SOCIETY'S DINNER. The 6th annual dinner of the Auckland University College Engineering Society was held' at tho Tiffin on Saturday evening. There were present representatives of both the College Council and the staff and many members of the engineering professi.on. The Hon. George Fowldß, chairman of the Collego Council, in responding to the toast of the evening, "Tho College," gave an interesting resume of the struggles of the council in connection with securing the new homo of the "college which is now under course of construction in the Metropolitan Grounds. The speaker expressed tho wish that in . tho near future tho authorities may also see fit to construct a building worthy of the engineering faculty.
