With an explosion that shook the dis- ! trict for 20 miles round, a giant meteor ] plunged into Big Quill Lake, near Wyni ward, Saskatchewan, states the Toronto correspondent of the London Times. A fiery body was seen by many in tho district to drop from a clear sky, and clouds of steam rose from the lake for some time after it had sunk in tho water. OtheT meteoric disturbances a:o reported from Vanscoy, Saskatchewan, south-east of Saskatoon. People in tho neighbourhood heard five or six loud explosions, and the earth between Vanscoy and Pike Lake was shaken.
